Participants at the Conference spent an afternoon at the new,
beautiful, and ultra modern
AMERICAN UNIVERSITY OF SHARJAH.
This amazing complex was constructed in only 11 months!
Academic programs are all on the "American" pattern, and are taught in English.
The University is currently
supervised by the American University in Washington, DC,
which is responsible for assuring that the academic
classes meet
American accreditation standards.
The College of Engineering is likewise supervised by
Texas A&M University.
I was so impressed by the faculty and the facilities,
that I would not object if my daughters wanted to go there.

The area in front of the building, with the fountains, is
all polished granite,
as are the stairs from the road.
Classroom building, as seen from the front of the administration building.
Again, notice the polished granite walkway.
The grounds were flawlessly manicured.

Inside, these buildings were very modern, and well equipped.
