Writing Contest
We have received many inquiries about how did we ever write such a book; or how do you do research for such an undertaking; or how do you begin? Many of you have voiced that you want to write, but are afraid to.
The first thing to consider is a writing contest to get feedback on your current level of skills. From contests you will achieve three basic goals writers need to master.
- Meeting a Deadline.
- Gaining Useful Critiques of Your Work.
- Possibly Gaining an Editor's or Agent's Notice.
The next thing to consider is Choosing a Writing Contest to help you realize your goals.
- Choose a Local Writer's Group offering Critique Partner(s).
- Join a National Writing Organization representing the particular Genre you intend to write in.
- The two above are resources that make you aware of contests nation-wide.
From time to time, we will post contest that will help you in your writing curriculum as we find those most apropos. They will be listed here, when applicable.
